At MINExpo 2024 in Las Vegas, Stellar Industries unveiled the TMAX 3T Aluminum Mechanic Truck, an aluminium version of their steel TMAX Tandem Axle Mechanic Truck. Designed for the rugged demands of mining operations and construction sites, the TMAX 3T weighs 7,714 lbs., making it 1,578 lbs. lighter than its steel counterpart.
{alcircleadd}Built for chassis with a 54,000-lb. GVWR and higher, it offers enhanced payload capacity, improved corrosion resistance, and features an extruded top rail for easier mounting. The truck includes a durable steel crane compartment and torsion box to withstand harsh environments.
Also showcased was the TM16160/28000 Large OTR Tire Service Truck, specifically designed for the rigorous demands of large-scale mining and construction operations. This robust truck features a 20-ft. body for tyre transport, spacious compartments for tool storage, and the Stellar 110P, a two-stage, hydraulic-driven, air-cooled compressor that delivers 110 cfm at 175 psi.
The unit’s modified A-frame stabiliser merges traditional A-frame stabilisers without-and-down style outriggers. With dual cylinders and enhanced geometry, it offers improved stability across varying widths, ensuring optimal performance on uneven terrain.
The tyre manipulator on the TM16160/28000 provides articulation ranging from +80° to -24° and 315° of rotation. It features continuously rotating pads and a clamping width of 158 in., enabling it to handle tyre and rim combinations weighing up to 16,500 lbs. Its parallelogram design also accommodates tyres as small as 40 inches.
