Switzerland’s aluminium scrap import remains enterprising during 2017-19: Steep downfall by 34.69% projected for 2020

Switzerland's import of Aluminium scrap

The aluminium scrap import of Switzerland in 2017-19 reflected an enterprising market as the total import volume recorded at 181,190 tonnes and the expenditure recorded was $344.12 million. But the projected for 2020 import has been analysed with a steep fall by 34.69%, as the import volume is expected to remain at 45,781 tonnes and the expenditure might remain at $81.67 million. When the 2020 projected import volume and expenditure gets added with the previous three years the total import volume and expenditure stands at 226,971 tonnes and $425.79 million.

Switzerland’s aluminium scrap import in 2017 has been recorded at 48,147 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $92.84 million, whereas in 2018 the country’s aluminium scrap import rose by 30.72%, as the total import volume remained at 62,942 tonnes and expenditure also climbed to $124.56 tonnes.

In 2019 the import again saw growth by 11.37%, as the import volume reflected at 70,101 tonnes and the expenditure also extended to $126.72 million.

The aluminium scrap import of Switzerland has been analysed with a sharp fall by 34.69% as the import volume to remain at 45,781 tonnes, with the lowest in the span of four years and 24,320 tonnes dip on Y-o-Y basis.

The export trading nations for Switzerland’s aluminium import are Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, UK, USA, Hungary, Netherlands, etc.
