Taiwan’s imports of aluminium scrap from the US stood at 2,640 tonnes in April, with a month-on-month increase of 9.54%. Taiwan had imported 2,410 tonnes in March 2021. On a yearly basis, imports reduced by 13.73 % from 3,060 tonnes in April 2020, as updated by the US Census Bureau.
{alcircleadd}In the first four months of 2021, Taiwan imported 10,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap, from 13,000 tonnes imported in the first four months of 2020, reflecting a drop of 23% year-on-year.
Taiwan’s imports of total aluminium (semi-finished products, crude metals and alloy and scrap) from the US stood at 3,270 tonnes in April 2021. That was down from 3,900 tonnes in April 2020 but up from 2,850 tonnes in March 2021.
In January-April 2021, total imports came in at 13,000 tonnes, down 18.24% from 15,900 tonnes imported in January-April 2020.
