US aluminium crude metals and alloys exports to Mexico edge 21.48% lower M-o-M in July 2021

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), Mexico imported 9,030 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys from the United States in the month of July 2021, which reflected a month-on-month decrease of 2,470 tonnes or 21.48 per cent.  In June 2021, 11,500 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys were exported to Mexico from the US, a growth of 12.75 per cent from 10,200 tonnes in May 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium crude metals and alloys exports to Mexico in July 2021 moved up by 2,850 tonnes or by 46.12 per cent from 6,180 tonnes.

From January to July 2021, the imported aluminium crude metals and alloys by Mexico surged by 24,900 tonnes or by 54.49 percent on a year-on-year calculation to close at 70,600 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount imported by Mexico was recorded at 45,700 tonnes.

Outlook for the Indian Aluminium Industry

As per the data shared by the United States Geological Survey, the total amount of aluminium crude metals and alloys, aluminium plates, sheets, bars, and scrap exported to Mexico from the US for the month of July 2021 stood at 42,800 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount was 40,000 tonnes, an increase of 2,800 tonnes in 2021.
