According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States imported 20,000 tonnes of plates, sheet, bars from China in August 2021, showing a month-on-month ascend of 10,290 tonnes or by 105.97 percent. In July 2021, 9,710 tonnes of plates, sheets, bars were imported from China, flaunting a decrease of 10.91 percent from 10,900 tonnes in June 2021.
On a year-on-year calculation, plates, sheets, bars imported from China in August 2021, ascended by 8,900 tonnes or by 80.18 percent from 11,100 tonnes.
From January to August 2021, the imported plates, sheets, bars by the United States settled at 95,600 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount exported by China totalled at 82,100 tonnes.
Based on the data shared by the United States Geological Survey, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap imported from China for August 2021 closed at 20,100 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount stood at 11,200 tonnes showing an increase of 8,900 tonnes in 2021.
