According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 13,100 tonnes of US aluminium scrap to Mexico, showing a month-on-month reduction of 200 per tonne or by 1.50%. In September 2021, 13,300 tonnes of US aluminium scrap were exported to Mexico, showing a decline of 300 tonnes or 2.20% from 13,600 tonnes in August 2021.
On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap exported to Mexico in October 2021 plummeted by 3,000 tonnes or by 18.63% from 16,100 tonnes in October 2020.
From January to October, the exported aluminium scrap to Mexico settled at 140,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount totalled at 119,000 tonnes.
As per the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, exported to Mexico for October 2021 closed at 40,200 tonnes, showing a year-on-year decrease of 11,700 tonnes. The total amount for October 2020 came in at 51,900 tonnes.
