In February 2022, Greece exported 2,030 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to the United States, which on an M-o-M scale dropped by 270 tonnes from 2,300 tonnes in January 2022. However, in January 2022, a surge of 100 tonnes or 4.54 per cent was recorded from 2,200 tonnes in December 2021.
On a Y-o-Y comparison, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported by the US from Greece in February 2022 augmented by 600 tonnes or 41.95 per cent from 1,430 tonnes in February 2021. In 2021, the US imported a total of 1,290,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars from Greece.
As per the USGS data, in February 2022, a total amount of 107,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars were imported by the United States from Greece. On an M-o-M calculation, the amount dropped drastically by 5,000 tonnes or 4.46 per cent from 112,000 tonnes in January 2022. Further, in January 2022, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported from Greece had augmented by 3,000 tonnes or 2.75 per cent from 109,000 tonnes in December 2021.
