According to S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has achieved the 2nd spot position in world rankings for the aluminium industry for FY2021-22. The S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the world-class benchmark to assess the companies’ performance in terms of economic, environment, and social criteria.
{alcircleadd}Vedanta Aluminium has moved up two spots from the 4th rank in FY21, turning into the second most sustainable aluminium producer globally. More than 10,000 companies from various industries go through annual assessments of sustainability practices, of which only a few get selected for inclusion in the list.
Vedanta Aluminium has achieved better ranking based on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria, including Cybersecurity, Environment Reporting, Environmental Policy & Management Systems, Social Reporting, Labour Practice Indicators, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction & Retention, Customer Relationship Management, and Social Impact on Communities.
