According to a recent study, the worldwide market value for aluminium powder is expected to expand at a CAGR of roughly 2.5 per cent over the next five years to reach US$ 1060 million in 2024 from US$ 910 million in 2019.
Amidst this bullish aluminium powder market trend, Germany is also likely to generate higher revenue this year from its aluminium powder and flakes export. From US$61 million in 2019, the country’s revenue in 2020 is estimated to increase by 6.5 per cent to US$ 65 million, suggests the global trade data. In fact, the country has been seeing a year-on-year rise in aluminium powder and flakes export value over the past four years. In 2017, the value was US$ 41 million, which in 2018 grew 24.3 per cent to US$ 51 million. In 2019, this growth did not cease but continued by around 20 per cent.

The amount of aluminium powder and flakes export from Germany is also likely to increase this year by about 37 per cent to stand at 21,433 tonnes. But last year, the country’s export volume declined 19 per cent to 15,678 tonnes, despite the revenue increased over the year. In 2018, Germany’s aluminium powder and flakes export was 19,334 tonnes, after recording a growth of 47 per cent from 13,149 tonnes in 2017.
