China’s A00 aluminium ingot price crash dives by RMB260/t; Low carbon aluminium price loses RMB265/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has plummeted by RMB 260 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,710 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Thursday, December 29. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,690 per tonne and RMB 18,730 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at a discount price of RMB 40 per tonne.

The provinces in China have recorded falling prices today, with the aluminium price decreasing the most in places like Foshan, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Shenyang and Linyi by RMB 260 per tonne. The price in Foshan stands at RMB 18,690 per tonne, in Hangzhou at RMB 18,720 per tonne, in Chongqing at RMB 18,700 per tonne, while in Shenyang and Linyi, the aluminium prices have closed at RMB 18,660 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Wuxi has lost RMB 210 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,670 per tonne, followed by RMB 200 per tonne plunge in Tianjin, where the aluminium price has clocked at RMB 18,740 per tonne. Lastly, the aluminium price in Gonyi has shed RMB 190 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,510 per tonne.

The price of low-carbon aluminium in China has lost RMB 265 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,271 per tonne.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have glided down by RMB 300 per tonne to officially close at RMB 26,700 per tonne and RMB 27,700 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has dumped RMB 250 per tonne, stooping to RMB 19,900 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder in China has fallen by RMB 0.30 per kg to stop at RMB 20.30 per tonne, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.20 per tonne and RMB 20.40 per tonne.
