AMAG Austria wins ‘Accredited Supplier’ award from Airbus for the second time

According to a report on Monday, June 19, AMAG Austria Metall AG has yet again received the ‘Accredited Supplier’ award from Airbus. It is a supreme award that the European aircraft manufacturer presents to its suppliers, and AMAG is the only aluminium rolled products supplier to have received this level of recognition for the second time after 2020.

This award is given to companies with excellent product quality and outstanding delivery reliability and is a part of the Supply Chain & Quality Improvement (SQIP) programme run by Airbus jointly with selected premium suppliers to ensure continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.

 “Innovation and constant improvement are a matter of course for us. We are all the more pleased about the repeated award from Airbus at the highest level, which expresses our customer orientation and our quality standards. We are currently the only supplier of aluminum rolled products to have received an award at this highest level, twice in a row. In any case, we see this success as an incentive to expand our contribution to the development of the strategic partnership,” said AMAG CEO Gerald Mayer.

AMAG and Airbus have been partners since 2005. In July 2016, they signed the largest-ever multi-year supply contract, which stated AMAG would supply certified aluminium rolled products used for the structure of all Airbus aircraft families.
