According to the data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), based in Conakry, it has revealed that Guinea's export at the end of October 2022 recorded a rise of 29.5 per cent compared to September 2022.
{alcircleadd}The INS highlighted in its note on the evolution of foreign trade that the country's exports amounted to 3,378.8 billion Guinean francs ($404.45 million) against 2,608.7 billion Guinean francs ($313.04 million) in September 2022.
The bauxite and gold mining sectors have hugely contributed to the West African nation's export growth.
One of the leading logistics companies reported record monthly shipments of Guinea bauxite supporting capesize trade.
Volumes of bauxite exported from Guinea averaged 7.7 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2022 and 9.9 million tonnes in the year's final three months, providing one of the few growth trades for the largest bulk carriers.
