ConMet has announced that its PreSet Plus aluminium wheel ends with disc brakes will be standard equipment on Kraft Tank Corporation's new Omni composite tank trailer. This innovative wheel-end solution offers significant advantages for the heavy-duty transportation industry.
{alcircleadd}The PreSet Plus aluminium wheel ends are the original pre-adjusted hub, designed to simplify installation while enhancing safety and reducing overall vehicle weight, according to ConMet. Featuring tapered roller bearings, premium seals, and a precisely machined spacer, the PreSet Plus system is engineered for durability and improved performance, even in the most demanding conditions.
A typical wheel-end system comprises a seal, an inboard and outboard tapered bearing, and a hubcap. Additional components include a spindle nut and wheel nuts. Some wheel end systems may also contain a spacer to provide preset torquing.
However, the PreSet Plus aluminium wheel ends' advanced features not only bolster the longevity and reliability of the wheel ends but also contribute to increased payload capacity and enhanced fuel efficiency for the Omni tanker. As the industry continues to prioritise safety and efficiency, the integration of ConMet's PreSet Plus wheel ends positions Kraft Tank Corporation's Omni trailer as a leader in modern transportation solutions.
Randy Long, ConMet National Fleet Sales Manager, said, “As we continue to drive innovation within the transportation industry, we are excited to partner with Kraft Tank Corporation to provide our PreSet Plus aluminium disc brake wheel ends on their new Omni Tank Trailer."
“The lightweight design and high-performance features of our wheel ends are consistent with Kraft’s mission to improve trailer efficiency and safety.”
Kraft unveiled its innovative composite trailer at the 2024 Tank Truck Week, hosted by the National Tank Truck Carriers in Charlotte, North Carolina. This cutting-edge solution for transporting hazardous materials utilises advanced composite materials, optimising payload capacity and simplifying maintenance. As a result, the trailer boasts improved durability and efficiency, setting a new standard in the industry.
Jeremy Capra, Kraft Parts Director, said, “Our partnership with ConMet has allowed us to offer our customers superior products that deliver on both performance and reliability."
“The inclusion of ConMet’s PreSet Plus aluminium wheel ends as standard equipment on our new Omni composite tank trailer aligns perfectly with our vision of providing top-tier trailers that meet the evolving needs of the transportation industry.”
