Svitch, one of India's largest manufacturers of e-bikes, is known for its sleek and smart look, making the bike stand out among the crowd. The Svitch XE+ is the latest addition to their collection. The XE+ model features a forged aluminium alloy 6061 chassis, making it lightweight and robust simultaneously.
One of the most widely used and adaptable aluminium alloys on the market is forged aluminium alloy 6061, often known as "alloy61S." This grade is one of the most versatile alloys that have undergone heat treatment. Its tenacity and exceptional corrosion resistance are commonly used for flooring, ramps, and steps.
“A normal bicycle runs on the streets at 15 to 20 km/hr. Electric bicycles can run between 20 and 40 km/hr. You’ll eventually feel that thrill,” said Raj Patel, founder of the Ahmedabad-based EV bike company Svitch.
Apart from the sturdy outlook, the Svitch bikes are also foldable and can easily be carried anywhere. It also flaunts 160mm Tektro Mechanical Disk Brakes, making it an ideal bike for all terrains. The adjustable stem allows riders to customize and raise the seat as per the height. The Svitch XE + has an integrated driving system from Bafang, a colourful LCD display, and five different pedal aid settings.
“The battery is removable and can be switched easily with a powered battery. In about 2.5 hours, the battery is fully charged and gives a range of between 80 and 100 kilometres,” added Raj.
The replaceable battery pack has three capacities (11.6 Ah, 14.5 Ah, and 16 Ah) and two different methods for charging it. While it's being charged inside the e-bike, one can also detach it and charge it elsewhere. On a single charge, it can cover around 120 km.
