The Drinktec event scheduled to be held in Munich from the 12th to 16th of September would display the flagship product of the Guala Closures Group, an aluminium packaging company. The product in focus has been named Talog, a tamper-evident cap made of aluminium and a plastic tamper-evident band that separates into halves the first time the seal is broken.
{alcircleadd}Talog has been accepted widely by various renowned water brands. Guala features another closure type called the Alu-Star, which is entirely made of aluminium and sports a tamper-evident ring that shatters into multiple pieces as the packaging is opened for the first time. The broken parts remain attached to the cap.
Founded in 1954, the Guala Closures Group hailing from Italy, is one of the leaders in producing aluminium packaging solutions for non-alcoholic beverages, fruit juices, sparkling waters and soft drinks. The company also provides glass enclosures for non-alcoholic drinks.
The packaging industry widely uses aluminium as it is an infinitely recyclable material that can be forged into any given shape. Moreover, the recycling process of aluminium is simpler than any other material, and packaging materials constitute almost 50 per cent of Europe’s collection drive.
Guala is a provider of generic or tamper-evident closure systems, primarily caps with indicators to tell the consumer if it had been opened earlier. These closures are ordered by some of the biggest organisations acting on a global scale.
To top it all off, the enclosures are not very stringent for personalisation, as a manufacturer can mark his products with any kind of graphic designer application producing packaging solutions of the highest stature.
The commercial director for the Guala Closures Group, Arturo Martorelli, specifically mentioned: “We are thrilled to be participating at Drinktec for the first time as a Group. The market for water and other non-alcoholic beverages is expanding, and as a result, it is becoming an increasingly essential part of our business. We are consolidating the already formidable range of closures that we inherited by building on the wonderful history that Closurelogic has left behind.”
“Additionally, we are utilising our strong reputation as inventors to further develop and extend our market in this category. Drinktec is a significant occasion for us to showcase our experience to various end-user sectors,” he concluded.
