Hydro announced that its entire aluminium extrusion operations in Europe are now certified against the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard. This came after Hydro automotive components plant in the United Kingdom received ASI certification.
{alcircleadd}“This is a remarkable achievement for our organization in strengthening our position as the industry leader in sustainable business operations,” said executive vice president Paul Warton, who leads the business area Hydro Extrusions. “But first I would like to congratulate our team in Gloucester on their ASI certification.”
Hydro Aluminium UK Ltd in Gloucester covers the site’s production of aluminium solutions, including fabrication, surface treatment and assembly. Fabrication activities include cutting, stretch bending and CNC operations. The facility offers a wide range of automotive solutions for roof rails, trims and treadplates.
“Our entire team has contributed toward this goal, which makes it especially rewarding. ASI certification supports our customer demands for aluminium products that are sourced and produced responsibly,” said David Turner, who manages the Gloucester plant.
