Indonesia: Ministry of National Planning and Development visits Nanshan Bintan Alumina to further strengthen government-enterprise collaboration

On September 23, 2023, the secretary of the Ministry of National Development and Planning, Indonesia, visited the Chinese industrial investment project Nanshan Bintan Alumina Co., Ltd. to strengthen government-enterprise cooperation and exchanges as well as promote the development of the Karangbatang Special Economic Zone.

Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Alumina Co., Ltd. warmly welcomed the secretary and his delegation, expressing gratitude to the Indonesian National Development Planning Department and various government departments for their sustained interest and support. They provided a comprehensive overview of the current development status, future growth trajectory, development priorities, and the industrial layout within the Special Zone.

Subsequently, the secretary and his team were given the opportunity to view Nanshan Holdings' promotional video and embarked on a tour of pivotal areas such as the park dispatch centre, port terminal, and exhibition hall. During this visit, through the exhibition hall presentation, they gained in-depth insights into the industrial magnitude, developmental history, global presence, and ongoing construction and progress of Nanshan's aluminium industry chain.

Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Alumina Co., Ltd. has reported that, with the robust backing of various levels of the Indonesian government, the Company successfully commenced production of 2 million tons of alumina in October 2022 since the project's construction in 2018. The Company has consistently upheld its corporate mission throughout its developmental journey: delivering top-quality products, advancing economic progress, and generating societal value.
