On Sunday, April 2, customers at the Whole Foods Market in Orlando were in for a surprise while performing their afternoon errands. The founder of Mananalu, Jason Momoa, unexpectedly entered the store while a member of the Mananalu team was setting up a demo station to give customers samples of their flavoured and pure water in aluminium bottles.
{alcircleadd}The actor and activist seized control of the demonstration, distributing Mananalu's aluminium water bottles to delighted consumers in exchange for their autographs, pictures and embraces. Momoa frequently makes unexpected appearances in the Mananalu neighbourhood. As part of celebrating the collaboration with the airline in August 2022, a video showing him dressed as a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant handing away Mananalu bottles on a flight to Hawaii went viral.
Mananalu was introduced earlier in March 2023 throughout Whole Foods Market's locations. Mananalu aims to reduce single-use plastic, backed by their Drink One Remove One program, which collaborates with the plastic-action platform rePurpose Global to remove one plastic bottle from ocean-going garbage for every bottle of Mananalu sold.
In order to activate its passionate community of planet lovers and spark a wave of change, Mananalu is getting ready for a major campaign around Earth Day, which will take place between April 18 and April 24. Customers will be invited to share on social media what they are doing to help unplastic the planet.
