Kaeser Compressors freshly adds to its 5m3 range of portable air compressors, the Mobile M59, offers a range of pressures from 6 an 14 bar.
The unit’s range is enabled by its flexible pV control system, which allows it to operate a breaker at a maximum pressure of 7 bar or perform sandblasting work at 10 bar.
The infinitely adjustable maximum pressure (p) directly influences the maximum flow rate (V). The pV control system also serves to counteract potential pressure losses when working with long hose lines.
Kaeser said: “The unit’s Sigma Control Smart controller makes it easy to set the pressure. At its lowest pressure setting, the M59 can provide a flow rate of up to 5.5m³/min. The new model is powered by a Stage V compliant Hatz engine.”
According to the company: “Since the engine requires a diesel particulate filter (DPF) it has replaced polyethylene structural elements with aluminium to keep the model lightweight while maintaining the robustness and long-term value retention.”
Kaeser spotlighted the fact that it had not compromised on the size of the fuel tank while trying to minimise the weight of the unit, so the tank is still large enough for a full day’s work on site.
Since the M59 weighs less than 750kg, it does not require a chassis with a service brake, so the driver does not need a special trailer license and can use a smaller towing vehicle.
Also, this means the unit is easier to manoeuvre by hand when it arrives at the Jobsite.
The M59 can also be specified with an 8.5 or 13kVA generator, so it can act as a mobile power source for construction sites.
