For any avid EREV car fan, a thrilling ride awaits in 2026. Karma Automotive announces and unveils the first look of their first ever all-aluminium spaceframe 2-door coupe Amaris EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle) powertrain with ravishing design on March 20, 2025. Emergence into the EREV, the car company aims to deliver freedom to car enthusiasts from refuelling from using electricity or gasoline.

Amaris, the next-generation EREV, after a nuanced preview and discussion with the company’s production-intent exterior, anticipates starting with production in the 2026 Q4. The EREV shall be built using an all-aluminium spaceframe originating from one of the previously launched cars, Revero, ensuring prompt development in the production timelines of the company.
The aluminium and carbon fibre body of the EREV shall feature the latest evolution of the Comet Line design language, which was established in Karma’s Kaveya super-coupe cars. Moreover, the sculpted cowl behind the nose extends in an arc across the hood, tapering down towards the rear to emphasise the wide, aggressive rear track. Using forged aluminium, the 22” Constellation wheel establishes the purposeful fluid stance of the car.
The company aims towards creating a visual flow and seamless transition with the voluptuous clamshell hood incorporating Karma’s Target Lighting signature. The Backslash design feature defines the gap between the front wheels and the swan doors, which elegantly swing upwards for a striking effect.
Its streamlined rear glass profile ends with an aero pass-through spoiler, minimising drag while generating rear axle downforce for enhanced high-speed stability. With Amaris, the company, for the first time, moves towards using a powerful evolution of their EREV powertrain turbocharged 4-cylinder ICE generator. As a result, the acceleration of the car from 0-60mph is calculated to be 3.5 seconds, with an extended speed of 165mph.
As put forward by the Marques McCommon, President, of Karma Automotive, "With our gorgeous Amaris 2-door coupe and soon-to-be-revealed Gyesera 4-door, we're building a range of vehicles that will deliver exceptional EV torque and performance paired with worry-free cruising range, a combination that only EREV can deliver."
After unveiling Amaris, the company announced their to-be-launched Gyesera 4-door, which was previously unveiled as an EV, will now arrive as an EREV powertrain with further revisions made for the design. Gyesera shall also incorporate all-aluminium spaceframe architecture, the same as Amaris.
