LME aluminium opened at US$2,423 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,458 per tonne, an increase of US$19.8 per tonne or 0.8 per cent.
On January 10, Tuesday, LME aluminium cash bid price floated up by US$59 per tonne or 2.52 per cent, closing at US$2,395 per tonne and the LME aluminium official settlement price saw an increase of US$60.50 per tonne or 2.59 per cent to rest at US$2,397 per tonne.
The 3-month bid price and the 3-month offer price both witnessed a spike of US$62 per tonne or 2.62 per cent to rest at US$2,430 per tonne and US$2,432 per tonne, respectively.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price stood at US$2,612 per tonne and US$2,617 per tonne on Tuesday, with a gain of US$67 per tonne or 2.63 per cent.
LME aluminium opening stock plunged by 3,200 tonnes or 0.76 per cent to settle at 418,875 tonnes from 422,075 tonnes recorded at the beginning of the week. Ā Ā Ā
Live warrants totalled 199,150 tonnes with 1,150 tonnes or 0.57 per cent fall. Cancelled warrants read 219,725 tonnes, with a decline of 2,050 tonnes or 0.92 per cent.Ā Ā
Only, the 3-month Asian Reference Price came in at US$2,424 per tonne after an addition of US$89.63 per tonne or 3.84 per cent.
SHFE aluminium priceĀ
Today, on January 11, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has anchored at US$2,683 per tonne, with a slight escalation of 0.41 per cent or US$11 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2302 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,160 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 18,300 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,265 per tonne, up RMB 120 per tonne or 0.66 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2302 aluminium closed up 1.37 per cent or RMB 245 per tonne at RMB 18,160 per tonne, with open interest down 14,598 lots to 149,679 lots.
