With a reinforced 6061 aluminium frame and large diameter hydroformed tubing, the GSD electric cargo bike ensures durability while keeping the bike lightweight at 34.95 kg (77.1 lbs). Capable of carrying up to 210 kg (463 lbs), it accommodates an adult rider along with up to two children or cargo.
The entire structure, including the frame, fork, rear rack, kickstand, and braking system, is certified to meet the German DIN 79040 safety standards. Powered by a Bosch Cargo Line mid-drive motor delivering 85 Nm of torque and 400 per cent pedal assistance, the GSD offers a top speed of 25 kph (15.5 mph). Its 500 Wh Bosch dual battery system provides a range of up to 101 km (63 miles) per charge.
Additional features include 20-inch wheels with Magura hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power and a handlebar-mounted colour display that offers real-time information on battery level, active mode, and other essential details.
The new GSD electric cargo bike from Tern comes equipped with additional features for enhanced convenience and security. These include vertical parking capability, Bosch ABS braking, GPS tracking, an eBike Lock, and an integrated alarm system for extra protection. Its foldable design further allows for easy storage in tight spaces.
