The total bauxite market of the nation during 2017-19 has been recorded only 30,835 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $3.96 million. The projected import for 2020 has been analyzed at 10,609 tonnes and the expenditure to remain at $1.26 million, when added the figures with the previous three years it denotes 41,444 tonnes of import volume and expenditure to stand $5.22 million.
Ecuador’s bauxite import in 2017 has been recorded at 5536 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $0.75 million, whereas in 2018 a growth of 166.02% has been recorded as the total import was 14,727 tonnes and revenue expenditure rose to $1.93 million.
In 2019 the bauxite import has shown de-growth as the volume stood at 10,572 tonnes with revenue expenditure also dropped at $1.28 million. The estimated import volume for 2020 has again shown a minor growth as the volume might reach to 10,609 tonnes.
The major trading nations for Ecuador’s bauxite import are Guyana, China, and Brazil.
