Aluminium rolled products — sheet, plate and foil have, for many years, formed a large volume of aluminium products shipped annually all over the world along with castings, extrusions, wire, rod and bar, forgings and impacts, and powders and paste. Sheet, plate and foil are usually made by rolling thick aluminium between rolls that reduce the thickness and lengthen it through hot and cold rolling processses. 1. Novelis Inc. ( A Hindalco subsidiary)

Novelis is the largest single producer of aluminium flat rolled products for the beverage can and automotive industries globally. In the Fiscal Year 2016, Novelis shipped 3.1 Million Metric Tons of Flat Rolled Products from all its facilities.

2. Alcoa Inc. ( Arconic Inc.)

On November 1 2016, Alcoa announced complete separation of its upstream and value added business segments into two independent companies: Alcoa Inc. (now named Arconic Inc.) and Alcoa Corporation. All value added engineering and manufacturing products fall under Arconic Inc. Arconic offers a range of highly-differentiated aluminum sheet and plate products for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, brazing and industrial markets under Global rolled product division.

Arconic (Then Alcoa) reported a total sale of USD 6.2 billion in 2015 in theGlobal Rolled Products division. The company reported third-party aluminium shipments of 1.7 million tons in 2015. The segment reported ATOI of $244 million in 2015 and realized a YOY 15% increase in adjusted EBITDA per metric ton, reflecting a shift to a higher margin product mix. This segment continued to benefit from the historic shift to aluminium-intensive vehicles; in 2015, automotive sheet shipments doubled from 2014.
 
3. UACJ (Japan)

In October 2013, Furukawa-Sky Aluminum and Sumitomo Light Metal Industries merged their business operations to form UACJ. Both the companies had subsequent successful history as aluminium producers in Japan. Together, their annual capacity for flat rolled products exceeded 1 million tons. This had put UACJ among the top-class aluminium rolling product manufacturers, not only in Japan but in the world.
The scale of UACJ’s new operation are keeping them cost-competitive and maintaining their position as a major global aluminium group originating from Japan.

4. Hydro aluminium

Hydro is another leader in rolled aluminium products in the world. The company annually supplies around 1 million metric tons of rolled products around the world.
