Trivium Packaging has been the recipient of three Pack Global Awards that can be divided into two broad genres: One for Best-in-Class in the Package Innovation Technical Design category and the other two for distinction in the Package Innovation Sustainable Design category.
{alcircleadd}Trivium bagged the Best-in-class title for its intense craftsmanship in making Rexona Now United Aerosol Antiperspirant. This win can be regarded as the third time same category victory for Trivium in successive order.
Trivium had worked in partnership with Rexona to create a unique aluminium aerosol can that displays snippets from the Now United pop group citing their members.
The packaging group's main concern was putting up the faces of the Now United group members and keeping Rexona's advertising quality intact. The aluminium aerosol can had to go through group approvals and technical feasibility tests.
Now United is an international pop group emerging from Los Angeles that portrays regional identities and nationalities from around the globe. Rexona antiperspirant cans have been given a vibrant colour tone to promote this cultural diversification. The aluminium aerosol cans display the group's members in whole light with the use of an eight-colour dry-offset technology.
These Rexona aerosol cans have been manufactured using Trivium's lightweight aluminium that can be infinitely recycled. This will induce a circular economy around the cans, usually formulated with the best quality of aluminium.
With the rising consciousness of environmental dilemmas, highly optimised companies seek ways to decrease carbon emissions from individual processes. Recycled aluminium is the best raw material for this purpose as the transformation process emits lesser carbon into the air than primary aluminium production. Many beverage brands or cosmetic companies have shifted to using 100% recyclable aluminium to make their flagship packaging solutions.
Marcelo Nery from Trivium Packaging exclaimed: "We always strive to make products that are visually engaging for both our clients and the consumer while also keeping the production process in mind. So we're excited to be honoured for the third consecutive year in the Package Innovation, Technical Design category. We're committed to pushing technical design forward while reducing plastic packaging waste."
Trivium was also anointed in the Package Innovation, Sustainable Design category for its extraordinary work in framing Boticario's Arbo cologne refill packaging. Here too, the packaging company was lauded for the use of 100% recyclable aluminium. This curtails the use of plastic bottles and encourages the growth of aluminium packaging, which can be easily used for refillable containers, ultimately slashing down the company's carbon emissions.
The aluminium refill bottles for Boticario were designed in such a way that with the use of the complementary dropper, the refilling system would become very neat and concise. An aluminium bottle is a far more sustainable option for the storage of liquid products as the non-ferrous metal is odour free and opaque. This somehow guards the integrity of the cosmetic brand's flagship formula, offering an extended shelf life and UV light protection.
Similarly, Trivium was honoured for its Ocean 52's No Plastic Water bottle design. The beverage brand Ocean 52 donates 52 per cent of its profits to ocean protection and has now adopted Trivium's aluminium bottles to enhance its business module.
The chief sustainability officer of Trivium, Jenny Wassenaar, exemplified: "It's an honour to be recognised by the PAC Global Awards for our work with sustainable packaging. Our refillable aluminium bottle was specifically designed to fit with Boticario's original packaging for Arbo, providing them with a product that is both visually cohesive, functionally matched, and environmentally friendly."
"Likewise, our aluminium beverage bottle was designed to provide beverage brands with an alternative to plastic while maintaining the convenience and portability their consumers desire, being visually appealing and fully recyclable," Wassenaar added.
She also pointed out: "With our thoughtfully designed products, we aim to inspire the industry to work towards more sustainable packaging designs."
