According to a report published by Reuters, China Zhongwang and Cleveland’s Aleris Corporation decided to extend their merger agreement through September 29, representatives of the two companies said. The agreement was scheduled to expire September 15.

In 2016, Aleris Corporation, a global aluminium rolled products producer, announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Zhongwang USA LLC, a company majority-owned and led by Mr. Liu Zhongtian.
