Australia’s Aqualuma pitches aluminium LED lighting against Chinese products

EDITED BY : 2MINS READ

Aqualuma, the world’s leading LED lighting manufacturer in Australia, has introduced LED highbay light called Lite-bay for the marine industry. The Lite-bay is a cost- effective solution and is best suited for small businesses for restraining them from buying cheaper imported products.

The new LED lighting features a marine-grade epoxy powder-coated aluminium housing and heat sink with IP66 water ingress rating. The Lite-bay offers energy efficient LED lights that can minimize energy costs by over 70 per cent.

Aqualuma director Carl Amor stated that the price of this lighting is very competitive so that the buyers don’t need to buy Chinese imported products. This could lead to support the growth of the market for Australia-made products.

He said, “The new Lite-bay allows us to compete in a new sector where clients need a straightforward lighting solution, without the level of sophisticated controls and optical options that Aqualuma usually offers.”

Aqualuma has been manufacturing LED lighting at its Helensvale facility on the Gold Coast using majority sourced Australian components and aluminium castings. The company exports its range of products to UK, USA, Canada, and New Zealand.

The company projects the future demand for the new Lite-bay to be strong. The Lite-bay lighting range is available in all Australian states.
