According to Shanghai Metals Market, the average alumina spot price in China has recorded a higher hike today, on July 8, by RMB 38 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,408 per tonne. In the east, the alumina price has grown by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 2,400 per tonne, while that in the central and north has increased by RMB 35 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,415 per tonne. In the south, the price has continued to remain restrained at RMB 2,520 per tonne.
The imported alumina price has grown by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 2,350 per tonne, but the price of Australian alumina FOB has remained muted at US$ 264 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price, on the other hand, has continued to decline, rather at a higher pace, from RMB 14,420 per tonne to RMB 14,320 per tonne, found SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,300 per tonne and RMB 14,340 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0-40 per tonne.
Chongqing has seen the highest downfall in A00 aluminium ingot price today by RMB 175 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,180 per tonne. In Foshan, the price has decreased by RMB 160 per tonne to RMB 14,300 per tonne, while that in Shenyang has declined by RMB 105 per tonne to RMB 14,265 per tonne.
Gongyi and Wuxi have seen a fall of RMB 95 per tonne to RMB 14,140 per tonne and RMB 14,340 per tonne, while in Linyi and Hangzhou, the price has plunged by RMB 80 per tonne and RMB 75 per tonne to RMB 14,280 per tonne and RMB 14,360 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin, the aluminium ingot price has inched down by RMB 35 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,335 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,950 per tonne. However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained, respectively, at RMB 13,950 per tonne and RMB 14,850 per tonne.
