Bangalore-based Ultraviolette Automotive launched the new F77 Space Edition electric motorbike featuring aerospace-grade aluminium.  Using aerospace-grade aluminium for some sections and body panels makes the Space Edition distinctive and more expensive than the standard motorbike. This limited edition e-bike of just 10 pieces has incorporated numerous fail-safe mechanisms for the battery and a 9-axis IMU that monitors roll, pitch and yaw, precisely like in an aircraft.

A recent report published that as of April 1, 2021, South Korea's automotive industry ranks as the world's fifth-largest passenger car producer and holds the seventh position globally regarding vehicle sales. Sbase, the state-owned firm managing the Buenos Aires Subte metro, issued a tender for procuring 96 new air-conditioned electric trains on Line B, which runs from Leandro N Alem to Juan Manuel de Rosas. According to Sbase, the new fleet must be made of aluminium or stainless steel. It will have a CCTV, an audio-visual passenger information system, vandal-resistant LED lighting and longitudinal seating.

Hindalco Industries Limited plans to invest around INR 2,000 crore to bring new extrusion and fabrication technologies to India, critical to the country's construction of Vande Bharat trains with aluminium bodies. Digital Transformation in the Aluminium Industry

China Aluminium International Engineering (CHALIECO) announced its H1 2023 results this week, reporting a net loss of RMB 831 million attributed to shareholders during the initial half of 2023. That starkly contrasted with a profit of RMB 124 million documented in the same period the previous year. Notably, increased charges for asset impairment primarily influenced the negative financial result. Chalieco holds the 124th position among the world's largest construction firms, according to Engineering News-Record's 2013 ranking.

The company produces almost 1 billion beverage cans annually and has an engaging client base consisting of VB, Mount Franklin and Coke. The new canning line was flagged off, sighting the emerging demand for the company's 200ml boutique-sized aluminium cans for soft drinks, kombucha and alcohol.
