Google is launching its latest series of Pixel phones in India on October 13, Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro. These new models will be powered by Google’s next-generation Tensor G2 processor with Titan M2 security chip and loaded with the current Android 13 upgrade. Both phones have been designed with 100 per cent recycled aluminium.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flaunt a shiny and modern exterior that has been formed with some zirconia-blasted aluminium, a solid aluminium frame and an aluminium camera bar. The aluminium enclosure for both phones has been forged out of 100 per cent recycled material. The Pixel 7 has three colour options Snow, Obsidian and Lemongrass, while the Pixel 7 Pro is available in Snow, Obsidian or the latest Hazel variant.
Aluminium is extremely malleable and can be recycled a million times without losing the original properties of the non-ferrous metal. This reduces the carbon footprint left by aluminium products and creates a circular economy beneficial for the environment.
The Pixel 7 has a 6.32-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate with up to 1400 nits brightness, while Pixel Pro has a bigger display of a 6.7-inch Quad-HD with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1500 nits peak brightness. The phone gets thorough protection in the back and also the front since it has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protective barrier.
The Pixel 7 has 8 GB RAM with a storage capacity of 128 GB or 256 GB, whereas the Pixel 7 Pro features 12 GB with a storage capacity of 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB. Likewise, the Pixel 7 has a 4355 mAh battery, and the Pixel 7 Pro flaunts a 5000 mAh battery, both with 30W wired or wireless charging options.
To produce artistic photography, Google Pixel 7 comes with two rear cameras having 50MP with f/1.85 aperture and a 12MP 114° Ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. Google Pixel 7 Pro has three rear cameras comprising 50MP with f/1.85 aperture supported by 12MP 125° Ultra-wide autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, 48MP telephoto camera with OIS.
The phones have very strict security parameters, including face unlock, in-built fingerprint scanners, biometrics and dust and water resistance (IP68).
With big companies moving toward sustainability, Google is also taking the initiative to create its products with recyclable materials, which can be recycled again at the end of life, forming a circular economy.
