NITREX, a global player in the surface treatment industry, has achieved yet another milestone by successfully commissioning two cutting-edge nitriding systems for Alumil S.A., Greece's largest extrusion company and a major architectural systems producer.
This collaboration reinforces NITREX's position as an industry leader, with over 35 years of experience, a widespread global presence, and a portfolio of ground-breaking solutions.
The nitriding system installation in Serbia was completed in October 2022, followed by the successful installation in Greece in November 2022. These two pit-type nitriding systems, strategically placed at separate locations, not only signify a stronger global presence for NITREX but also validate the industry's confidence in NITREX's expertise to optimize die performance, elevate extruded profile throughput and curtail overall tooling expenses.
Alumil S.A., catering to diverse sectors such as construction, automotive, and energy, holds a significant export presence in Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. The company recently initiated operations of two advanced pit-type nitriding systems: the NX-1215 model, boasting a substantial 3-ton load capacity, stationed at the Greek facility, and the NX-620 furnace model, designed with a 1.2-ton load capacity, located in Serbia.
NITREX's end-to-end solution package includes the exclusive Nitreg technology, guaranteeing uniform and superior nitriding outcomes. In anticipation of Alumil's expansion plans in Greece, the system at this site has been strategically scaled up to accommodate future growth.
Alumil's decision to invest in NITREX's nitriding systems was prompted by the need to replace antiquated in-house equipment. The older nitrides, unable to undergo upgrades, resulted in operational inefficiencies, including uneven nitriding uniformity and excessive gas consumption.
Marcin Stoklosa, the Project Manager at NITREX, said, "Nitrex's modern system design, advanced technology, and process capabilities positioned us as the ideal partner for Alumil's plant upgrade and growth requirements. The successful commissioning of the systems in Greece and Serbia reinforces Nitrex's steadfast commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance application performance and are tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers. It also solidifies our position as the preferred choice for advanced nitriding solutions in the extrusion industry."
