Rimowa releases anodized aluminium watch case with flagship brand design

Just two years back, Rimowa launched a ‘mini suitcase’ perfect for storing watches. The German luggage company has since evolved the design of the anodized aluminium box to make it even more compact and sleek.

Like its prior release, Rimowa has used its flagship module to design the product featuring an anodized aluminium body with a sports outlook. The latest Rimowa watch case available in black is robust with the company’s signature details inscribed on it. It has the brand’s patented logo embedded on the surface, and the body of the product has vertical rilled grooves, just like other Rimowa items.

The entire design has been formulated to increase the longevity of the anodized aluminium container. Due to the use of aluminium, the watch case is lightweight and can be effortlessly carried in luggage and travel duffels. The minimalist design induces a weight of 2.8 pounds, and the dimension of the case is ten by four inches.

The inner compartment has been lined with very soft padding to help keep the interior safe. Moreover, the padded cushions inside can be removed for cleaning as they are made of soft microfiber. Each cushion displays Rimowa’s premium emblem; the letter ‘M’ fitted perfectly inside a rhombus with circular edges, forming a design layer.

The brand’s 1950 aviation suitcases have inspired the outer grooves on the watch case. Still, the emblem is a direct reference to the Cologne Cathedral, a historical monument located in the city where the company was first established in 1898.

The German luggage maker, Rimowa has become renowned over the years for its contributions to the travel industry with rigid and original aluminium designs reflecting the brand’s classic pattern.

Rimowa launched the preliminary version of this aluminium watch case in November last year, along with revealing a suitcase to store wine safely. The brand is keen on keeping its flagship constitution intact, which revolves around using anodized aluminium.

Rimowa luggage is becoming immensely popular in the travelling and logistics industry due to its sustainability quotient. Once the products reach the end of their lives, the primary material can be recycled for future use.
