On Monday, February 28, the average alumina spot price in China has fallen by RMB 35 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,153 per tonne, finds the Shanghai Metals Market.
In Shanxi and Guangxi, the price has gone down by RMB 25 per tonne to record at RMB 3,115 per tonne and RMB 3,135 per tonne. In Shandong and Henan, the price has plunged by RMB 45 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne, to register at RMB 3,100 per tonne and RMB 3,210 per tonne. For the same day in Guizhou the price has dipped by RMB 80 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,120 per tonne. Only in Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has remained restrained to score at RMB 3,125 per tonne and RMB 3,250 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has, however, continued to remain restrained at US$435 per tonne learned SMM.
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded a decline of RMB 120 per tonne to close at RMB 22,700 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 22,680 per tonne and RMB 22,720 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price in Shenyang and Tianjin has plummeted by RMB 110 per tonne to peg at RMB 22,680 per tonne and RMB 22,690 per tonne. In Linyi as well the price has fallen sharply by RMB 110 per tonne to close at RMB 22,700 per tonne. In other Chinese provinces like Gongyi and Foshan, the price has gone down by RMB 100 per tonne and RMB 120 per tonne.
The price for the same has been totalled at RMB 22,550 per tonne and RMB 22,720 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou, the price has nosedived by RMB 125 per tonne and RMB 115 per tonne, to settle at RMB 22,690 per tonne and RMB 22,700 per tonne. In Chongqing also the price has descended by RMB 120 per tonne to score at RMB 22,610 per tonne.
The aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and (A380) price has remained unchanged to settle at RMB 22,350 per tonne and RMB 23,350 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) price has declined y RMB 100 per tonne to come in at RMB 24,000 per tonne, with average prices expected to hover between RMB 23,900 per tonne and RMB 24,100 per tonne.
