Continente launches aluminium coffee capsules to reduce carbon footprint

Continente has announced the launch of its aluminium coffee capsules.  The new ranges are available in four variants - Decaffeinate, Seducent, Ristretto and Possente. Aluminium coffee capsules will also help in reducing carbon footprint.

These capsules are compatible with Nespresso machines. These alumiinum coffee capsules reinforce the commitment of Continente to offer innovative high quality products at always low prices.

The coffee used in the production of these capsules is certified to guarantee environmental and social sustainability. It also aims to protect forests, improves the lives of local communities and mitigates the climate crisis.

Tânia Lucas, Business Unit Director, Sonae MC said, “The coffee capsule segment was one of the fastest growing categories during the Covid-19 pandemic phase because people spent more time at home and transferred the consumption of the espresso coffee they habitually drank. This category shows a growth of about 30% that remains after the period of deflation. This launch reinforces the innovative positioning of the Continente brand."

The company will add caramel, vanilla and cinnamon aroma added to this range in the coming weeks.
