Hublot has initiated the new tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire to its Big Bang collection. The exotic purple hue of the watch was achievable due to the use of an aluminium oxide compound and chrome.
{alcircleadd}The Swiss watchmaker has come up with an exclusive wristwatch by combining the extremely complex technology of a tourbillion, first patented in 1801 and the attractive colour achieved by a sustainable aluminium blend.
The unique purple colour can be attributed to the shiny outlook of both aluminium and chrome. The composite made of aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) and chrome is also strong enough to hold the case and the bendable strap in a single array, leaving no gaps between the alignments.
Switzerland’s Hublot has incorporated a self-winding tourbillon that can remain optimised for three days straight (72 hours) by applying ceramic ball bearings to enhance its winding solution.
The watch has a micro-rotor at 12 o’clock, which is an unachievable position in the watch-making industry. Still, the genius of the Swiss company stands tall as it matches the small addition with the tourbillon placed at 6 o’clock.
The outlook of the open dial has been boosted by clock hands and hour markers that have an additional luminescent coating. The watch’s purple rubber strap comes equipped with the brand’s flagship One Click express interchangeability system and titanium folding clasp. The Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire has an outright modernist display that keeps the authenticity of a wristwatch intact.
The use of aluminium in the creation of this watch certifies it as a sustainable-green product that can be recycled at the end of its life, the process releasing less CO2 than primary aluminium production.
