Rolec launches latest aluDOOR aluminium enclosures for electronics sector

Rolec’s aluDOOR is a continuation of their popular enclosure series aluCASE and is more evolved with a perfectly sustainable aluminium case that can be attached to bulkheads, workstations, machines and walls. This portable aluminium enclosure comes with the usual IP66 and IP67 ratings, which can be customised with a 69k upgrade as per the customer’s request.

The aluDOOR can be utilised for factory automation, sensory detection, also proving its application in railway systems, ship technology, flow meters, robotic and machine control. The lid of the enclosure has been forged along with a homogenised hinge pin that can be inserted into holders to secure the case with two tamperproof Torx T25 (M5) screws. Once covered, the lid is then bolted with two additional T25 screws. The entire lid and the mounting screws have been carefully hindered by extruded aluminium trims.

The hinged lid can be opened 100° wide for ease of access and can be differentiated based on the presence of a space to squeeze in a product label or membrane keypad. A2 stainless steel has been used for creating the lid screws and threaded inserts to make them corrosion-resistant.

Auxiliary mounting screw channels give the consumer a chance to install the enclosure with the ‘lid closed’. An elongated foamed-in polyurethane gasket ensures internal protection since it has no joining.  The interior of the enclosure has threaded pillars that allow the quick installation of PCBs, DIN rails and mounting plates.

The innovative aluDOOR model is available in sizes 120 x 90 x 70 mm and 280 x 170 x 90 mm. The usual colour of the product is anthracite grey (RAL 7016) which comes with matt silver powder-coated lid trims.

The product can be mounted according to the needs of an enthusiast. aluDOORS can be precisely customised just as a customer requires like, engraving, CNC machining, laser processing, and digital printing of logos, legends and graphics. They also can be composed to have display windows, leaving the scope for additional instalments.
